    Guild Wars 2

    Good evening everyone.

    So...for those of you who are interested in Guild Wars 2, and have been following it, the Beta Press Weekend has just passed...which allowed several selected people from the press play the game for the weekend, record it, and share the videos with us.

    Looking at the very few videos which I have seen, I literally cannot wait for this game.

    Along with Diablo 3, this is probably THE most anticipated game for me to be released this year, EVER.
    I played Guild Wars quite a lot 'back in the day' and really enjoyed it (although the 'instancing' (i.e lack of open world) was a little annoying), so naturally, i'm excited for this.

    Personally, I think this will be a huge blow to WoW. So much seems to be different about this. The developers have really put a lot into it, and from the Beta Weekend videos, you can see this.

    Anyway, enough of my rambling. Check out the video below for a glimpse into what the game is like, and keep checking on their channel for more videos.

    SOPA Strike

    On January 18th of 2012 St0rm.net will be taking part in a world wide internet blackout to protest the SOPA bill that is trying to be passed by the United States Government.

    From Midnight January 17th 2012 till Midnight January 18th 2012 you will not be able to access St0rm.net's website.

    This does not effect our game servers or Teamspeak or mIRC.

    Web Developer Needed

    As you may have noticed, Jan. 1st has come and gone and we find ourselves with no change to the status of Minecraft. Unfortunately, our plans have been disrupted by a lack of a web developer.

    St0rm is now recruiting a new web developer with strong knowledge of PHP, a willingness to learn the VBulliten API and an interest in Minecraft. Our goal is to create a VBulliten plugin to manage Minecraft, which will simply require writing data to a MySQL database.

    Ideal Recruits:
    • Have a strong knowledge of PHP
    • Have experience with MySQL and know how to write SQL.
    • Can work with a development partner
    • Have Teamspeak 3
    • Are willing to lean the VBulliten API
    • Have a good head for web layouts

    Currently, rewards will be in the form of access across the network and moderation power in select games. If things go well, there may be other opportunities in the future.

    [SWTOR] Headstart ahead!

    The Headstart of SWTOR is near, Bioware and EA are sending out the invitations for the early Game
    access for those who Pre-Ordered in the next hours, so check your Emails!


    So who are you going to be ? A chilled and relaxed Jedi ? A wicked Sith Warrior who crushes Heads for fun ?
    Or maybe something without a Lightsaber ?
    Your possibilities are endless, you define what your Journey will be.
    You can be a powerful Tank, a lovely Healer or a DPS beeetch, its up to you.

    So what is SWTOR about ? Well, its basicly a Good vs Evil - in this case the Republic versus the Sith Empire.
    You can select various Classes which split up into different ways of Playing.

    For example:
    You go Sith and pick the Imperial Agent as your Class.
    You want to be classy and pick those blue people called Chiss (no, not Jizz) and choose the DPS path,
    in this case - the Sniper. You can now select 3 different Skill Trees which all offer a unique Gameplay-style.
    Or you can pick the Path of the Saboteur, a Melee spec that can also be Played as a Healer.

    You can basically do whatever you want, you still got the option to do Damage,
    even as a Healer or Tank, which is rare in MMOs.

    But enough chit-chat, take a look on those sweet Gameplay Videos.

    We are proud to announce that our St0rm Currency System is now ONLINE.




    So what is this about ? What are those St0rm Credits ?


    It is our Currency that you gain by attending Network Events, being active on the Forum, joining us on Teamspeak and IRC or just donating to the Network.
    You use those Credits to enter Raffles, a very good chance to win a Game, Hardware or other cool Gadgets!



    For example, there is a Raffle for Battlefield 3 - you need 60,000 Credits to enter this raffle. Lets say 5 People enter this Raffle since the price is not that low.
    So your chance of winning the Game is 1 to 5, which is pretty sweet for basicly no effort.






    Important!
    To get your IRC and Teamspeak activity tracked, you have to add your Teamspeak unique user ID and your Registered IRC Username to your Profile settings.


    If you need help finding your Teamspeak ID or got Questions about the IRC Registering, feel free to ask.
    There will also be a Guide on how to find your TS ID and such.

    Adopt a Snowflake 2011

    Or at least a happy holiday season. In celebration, you may have noticed it's begun to get a little colder around St0rm with snowflakes starting to fall. They will continue to fall in greater number until Christmas day, where there will be at least thirty of the little guys.

    With your help, we can make this a true snow st0rm. For every donation of $5 or more from now until Christmas, we'll add a snowflake to the flurry with a name of your choice (10 characters or less) written underneath it. This is your chance to support st0rm and give a shout out to whomever (or whatever) you like! You can name it after yourself, so everyone can see how dedicated you are to St0rm, or maybe you'd rather name it after your significant other! We'll accept any name (except profanity) but once you choose it, there's no going back! Just:
